I turned 29 today. I said goodbye to my 2011 KIA Optima, which went back to the dealer, after 3 years of faithful service. I miss it already.

Your BMW is better.
I hope that was reassuring.

the KIA was loveable in different ways. We bonded. Don't get me wrong, but I just haven't had enough adventures in the BMW to forget the Optima.

How did it do for you? Anything wonky? Major repairs?
I ask because I'm trying to get over my (well deserved) Kia hate.
edit - and because I'm an inconsiderate jackass, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

33896 mi of stone cold reliability. No major repairs other than slightly misaligned steering. Was an absolutely fantastic car.

I had a Kia Forte Koup for 2 years and 25,000 miles. Fantastic car. Only issue was caused by a body shop at a Ford dealer failing to hook up my defroster properly after fixing hail damage.
Kia makes good cars now, and they are only getting better.
